Fragments — استوديو تصميم متعدد التخصصات، تأسس سنة 2024 بفكرة بسيطة: أفضل العمارة لا تبدأ من صفحة بيضاء — تبدأ من المكان.
نشتغل على التصميم الداخلي والمعماري والفضاءات الخارجية، ونستمد معنانا من طبقات التاريخ والثقافة والحرفة في كل موقع. مشاريعنا تشمل المطاعم والمقاهي والسكن والضيافة — والقاسم المشترك بينها هو التزام بتصميم يحترم ذاكرة المكان ويخدم حاجات اليوم.
بوجودنا في مصر وإيطاليا والمملكة العربية السعودية، نستلهم من إرث معماري يعبر الثقافات — من الأفنية والأروقة في شمال أفريقيا، إلى حرفة الحجر في البحر المتوسط، وصولًا إلى عمارة التراث في شبه الجزيرة العربية — ونبني عليه ممارسة معاصرة.

Mohanned Selim
Founder & CEO
Mohanned founded Fragments in 2024 to bridge architectural heritage and contemporary design. An architect with an MSc in Urban Design and nine years of practice, he has spent his career giving historic buildings a new life: turning heritage buildings in Cairo and Alexandria into serviced apartments, hospitality, F&B, coworking and cultural venues, and working on the restoration of Historic Jeddah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He is the author of a peer-reviewed framework for choosing the best new use for endangered heritage buildings. A guest lecturer on adaptive reuse at Coventry University, AASTMT, Ain Shams University and Istituto Marangoni, he also mentors young architects at the start of their careers.
Ahmed Selim
Head of Project Management, Innovation & Smart Systems
Ahmed leads project delivery, operational strategy and the studio's integration of smart building systems and technology-driven innovation, making sure every Fragments project is carried out with precision from brief to handover. He holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering and is currently pursuing a PhD at KFUPM.
Nader Selim
Head of Technical Department & BIM
Nader leads the studio's technical department and BIM strategy, bringing a design-driven mindset to every stage of delivery. He weaves BIM and technical coordination into the creative process, carrying each project from concept to construction while staying true to the original design, and works closely with designers and consultants so that every project is fully coordinated and ready to build. His experience spans luxury mansions, towers, residential and mixed-use developments across the UAE and Egypt, and he was part of a finalist team for Egypt's pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
Lina Selim
Head of Design & Interior Architecture
Lina is an interior architect, designer and co-founder of Fragments whose work is shaped by cultural identity, heritage and the layered narratives of place. Currently pursuing an MSc in Interior and Spatial Design at Politecnico di Milano and working as a teaching assistant, she explores how spaces emerge from the dialogue between memory, material culture and lived experience — with a particular interest in adaptive reuse, exhibition design, heritage-led spatial narratives and sensory-driven experiences.
